(preparation & logistics)

Scheduling & Reminders
I don’t send reminder emails prior to sessions. Please take note of your appointment time and add it to your calendar so you can arrive on time and fully present. Thank you.

Arrival & Timing
Please arrive on time for your session, not early. I’ll be preparing the space right up until your session begins, so please come at the scheduled time — not before. If you’re running late, just text to let me know.

Hygiene & Cleanliness
Please arrive showered and clean, with fresh breath. This supports the comfort, safety, and integrity of the work for both of us.

Sobriety
Please arrive clear and sober, unless we have explicitly discussed otherwise. Alcohol or recreational drug use prior to a session is not recommended - especially for first-timers.

Presence & Mindset
Please arrive with an open mind and a willingness to be present for your experience. Let go of expectations and allow the session to unfold naturally. Tantra is not performance-based. It's an invitation into present moment awareness, deeper sensation, and connection.

Payment
Payment is due prior to, or by the end of each session. I accept cash, e-transfer, PayPal, and all credit cards. Please use: james[at]skydancer.ca for transfers.

Gratuities
Tips are not required, nor expected... but always appreciated. Most satisfied clients give between $10-$50.

Cancellations
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged in full.

frequently asked questions

1) - Q:  How far in advance do I need to book a massage?

A:  I’m typically booked 1–2 weeks in advance, though occasional last-minute availability does arise. If you have a specific day and time that you'd prefer, let me know with as much notice as possible and I'll do my best to accommodate you.

2) - Q:  What does a 90 minute session actually include?

A:
Your session time includes a brief consultation, whole body massage, and shower or integration time. In a 90-minute booking, you’ll typically be on the table for about 70–75 minutes. This is why I recommend at least 90 minutes for your first session — it gives us time to connect, slow down, and allow the experience to unfold naturally.

3) - Q:  Are we naked during the massage (consent & comfort)?

A:
That depends entirely on your comfort level.  Some clients choose to be fully nude, others prefer to remain partially or fully clothed. I'm also comfortable being naked, if that's your preference. We’ll talk about what feels right for you beforehand, and you’re always free to change your mind at any point.

4) - Q:  Can mutual touch happen in a session?

A:  Yes, you're welcome to touch me during the massage, as long as it's gentle and respectful. It is recommended to wait until your back, neck and shoulders have been massaged... so you can more fully relax and enjoy the experience.

5) - Q:  Is tantric massage sexual? What are your boundaries? Can we have sex?

A:  I don't have sex with men - sorry (see below). But if you're a woman wanting to explore beyond massage and enjoy a more interactive session - we can discuss that during your consultation (or through email). I don't charge money for specific sexual acts.
Everything that unfolds is guided by consent, integrity, and your intentions for the session.

6) - Q:  Are you straight? (or gay, or bi?)

A:  In terms of my orientation, I prefer the term ‘heteroflexible’.  I'm comfortable with my sexuality and fluid in my ability to share intimate touch with all genders.  I do however, have different boundaries with men than I do with women, based on my own natural instincts.

8) - Q:  What are your work hours and availability?

A:  My general work hours are Monday thru Saturday from 2pm - 10pm. Sunday is my day off.

9) - Q:  How often should someone book sessions?

A:
That really depends on your personal needs and what you’re seeking. Some clients come weekly for ongoing emotional or energetic support. Others come monthly for relaxation and nourishment, or every few months as a way to reconnect and reset. Even a single session can be meaningful. We’ll talk about what feels supportive for you and find a rhythm that makes sense.

10) - Q:  How do couples sessions work?

A:
Couples sessions are collaborative and can be shaped in a few different ways. Often, one partner begins on the table while the other observes, then gradually joins in to offer touch or connection. Partners may switch so both receive time on the table, or the session can be more interactive if that’s what you’re looking for. We’ll talk through your intentions beforehand and design an experience that feels aligned for all of us.

11) - Q: Do clients ever fall in love with you (or you with them)?

A:  Strong feelings can sometimes arise during or after a session. That’s a natural response to deep presence, care, and intimate attention. Feeling love, connection, or closeness doesn’t necessarily mean romantic compatibility — it often reflects the nervous system opening and experiencing safety, attunement, and unconditional love. These experiences are welcomed as part of the integration and self-understanding process, while the professional container remains clear and intact.

12) - Q:  Are you a registered massage therapist or licensed sex therapist? Can I claim this on my benefits?

A:  No. I am not a registered massage therapist or a licensed sex therapist, and sessions are not eligible for extended medical benefits. I can provide receipts for my services, but they cannot be claimed as RMT or therapy expenses.

13) - Q:  What is Tantra (in the context of this work)?

A:  Tantra is a path of embodied awareness. In this practice, it’s not about performance or technique — it’s about presence, sensitivity, and learning to inhabit the body more fully.  Tantra massage weaves conscious touch, breath, energy awareness, and emotional attunement to support relaxation, pleasure, and a deeper connection with yourself.
